PARENT STORIES

As a working mother, one of my greatest concerns is finding a quality daycare/preschool program for my two young boys.  I need to feel confident that whoever is taking care of my children is providing the highest standard of care to them, which includes having patience, staying calm and showing them love when they are having a bad day, keeping a clean and germ-free environment and giving them a well-rounded learning experience.   Children's Palace Learning Center has been providing all of that for my boys for nearly three years.  I am so excited that the Center has received the NAEYC accreditation!  This means I can be assured that the center will not only meet my expectations, they will exceed them, by far.  NAEYC, which stands for National Association for the Education of Young Children, holds their accredited facilities to the highest degree of care, focusing on curriculum and teaching practices, and raising the bar for teacher eligibility requirements. Only 1o% of all preschools in the Country are NAEYC accredited.  Children's Palace Learning Center is one of only two programs in all of Pueblo County who have met the strict criteria. I can definitely get through my work day with the peace of mind that my kids are receiving the BEST care possible at Children's Palace Learning Center.

I have a three year old son that attends Children's Palace Learning Center and he's been there for a little over two and a half years.  I would recommend this day care to anyone for mutible reasons; first when he started attending he was a year and a half and because my son attended at that age he wasn't use to being away from me.  He cried and was completely devastated!  But the teachers there would hold him and comfort him until he stopped crying which made him feel safe, and made it easier on me to keep him there knowing he was safe and felt loved.

I like him being there so much that I drive from the southside of Pueblo and I also work in town as well.  My son is close to being four, but at the age of two my son knew his ABC's and by the age of two and a half he could count all the way to twenty and count to fifteen in Spanish.  This in my opinion is truly amazing!  He also knows a few things in sign language.

Children's Palace Learning Center has opened up my son and has helped him to speak clearly for being three.

Another wonderful quality about Children's Palace Learning Center is that they treat all the children there like their own.  I love the fact that I can drop him off and not have to worry about a thing.  My son feels safe, loved and secure.

Children's Palace Learning Center has also helped me potty train my son, without their help he would probably still be in diapers.  My list can go on and on about Children's Palace Learning Center but most of all I'd like to thank them for teaching my son to be a wonderful young man and always encouraging him to grow!

I am writing to support Children's Palace Learning Center.  I have had my daughter in this facility for a little over a year now and am so thankful to have had this opportunity.  My daughter had been at home with a family friend watching her until our family friend gave her two weeks notice.  During that time we called all the different daycare centers to see openings and prices. We decided to tour Children's Palace Learning Center and liked it from the start.  They worked with us in getting our daughter in even when our family friend didn't finish the first week of her two weeks notice.

Since my daughter has been at Children's Palace Learning Center, she  has grown remarkably in all areas of development.  She was pretty shy when she came to the daycare, but has opened up through the support of the staff and her peers. Everyone, including other parents, seems to know of my daughter and her spunky personality.  She comes home with art projects where her love of art is encouraged.  She takes pride in showing us what she has made for us.  She is learning things that I feel most other daycare centers would not teach.

As a parent, I love how the center works with the children to learn and explore.  In one of her recent projects, they had an apple feast with all different kinds of apples.  They also did an experiment to see if apples would float or sink.  My daughter came home excited to tell me that apples float.  I feel that the goal at Children's Palace Learning Center is to help the children find their strengths and grow in them and my daughter has done just that.  I will keep my daughter at this day care  and allow her to continue in her self-discovery because I feel confident that the center will strive to help her succeed.
