Angie Rogers
Director

My name is Angie Rogers. I was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where a majority of my family live. I have been working in the Early Childhood career for 30 years now. I started off working as an aide for the summer before heading off to college in OK for Nursing, Well as it grew closer to my day of leaving Colorado to head to Oklahoma, I sat down with my parents and asked if they would be too terribly disappointed in me if I chose not to go to Oklahoma. My parents of course said I needed a college education. I assured them that I was going to do that, but here in Colorado. I told them I wanted to work with children.

In spring of 1986, I started my education at Pikes Peak Community College in Early Childhood Education.  I finally graduated in 2002 with my Associates in Early Childhood Education. In 2007, I started on my Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Administration and graduated in July 2011. In Oct of 2011 I started my Masters in Education specializing in Special Education. I graduated in June of 2013. I have worked in the childcare setting, Head Start setting as well as the preschool setting with the districts over the past 30 years.

I am the oldest of 3 girls and I am an Air Force "brat". From kindergarten to my senior year, I attended 14 different schools due to all the moves we made, I graduated from high school in Hawaii. I have made friends all over the world. While growing up, I started babysitting at 12 and did so until I graduated high school. I really enjoyed watching children. My parent are retired and live in OK. My middle sister lives in South Carolina and she works as a  Teachers Assistant in a Catholic School. My youngest sister lives in Illinois and is a bus driver. All three of us enjoy working with children.  Because my family does not live in Colorado anymore, we do not get to see each other often, but we talk and text each other all the time.

Twenty-one years ago, I started out as a single parent when my son was 4 months old until Dannie was just about to turn 10, but twelve years ago, I married Steve and gained 3 more sons and now have 6 grandchildren. I enjoy camping, fishing, and hunting with my family, but I also enjoy curling up with a good book or watching a good movie.

Savanna Bond

Float Teacher

My name is Savanna Bond, I am the School Age Teacher here at CPLC.  I just recently completed my Child Development Associates Credential (CDA) in January 2014.

I am the mother of two beautiful children.  My daughter Vanessa Marie is 9 years old and my son Dakota Ray is seven years old.

I graduated from Vilas High School in 2004, a year earlier then originally portrayed.  I have also taken several industry based classes and trainings.  I have always had a passion for being "that someone" who had a positive impact on a young child's life.

I was born in Lamar, Colorado in 1986, where I lived and grew up for most of my childhood. I came from a family with three children, my brother Matt and my sister Amber, both are older than me.  Caring and sharing as well as family togetherness were always key components growing up.  I have always been involved in childcare as far back as I can remember.  My mom, Terry has been in the business of childcare my whole life.

I have always enjoyed caring for young children my whole life.  I thrive on just the thought of positive impact I could/can/and do make on every child in my care, that I made a difference in helping a child grow and learn.  I work in childcare to be a positive reinforcement in the health and development of our future leaders.  I work in childcare to support and encourage the children I care for.  I believe that every child is unique and every child should be treated with respect.  I love to be around children because they have such innocent hearts.  I love what I do.  I feel this profession is amazing adn beneficial because I get  to help children learn, be creative, be accepting of others and develop.  I feel that this profession is very rewarding.
